Project Overview
Q Swim is a swimming academy in Petaling Jaya that was managing much of its day-to-day operations manually. Class schedules, student bookings, coach assignments and payments were being tracked through Excel, making it difficult to keep everything organised as the academy grew.
The goal was to bring these processes into one centralised platform that could make scheduling and bookings easier for the admin team, coaches and students.I focused on simplifying the different workflows involved in managing classes, from creating schedules and assigning coaches to booking sessions and handling payments.
The result was a more structured experience that reduced manual admin work and gave the academy better visibility over its day-to-day operations.
My Contributions
I designed the end-to-end product experience for Q Swim from the ground up, starting with the existing manual processes and understanding where the admin team and students were running into problems.I worked closely with the academy’s admin team to understand how they managed schedules, bookings, coaches and payments, then translated those requirements into user journeys, flows and interfaces that were easier to manage and navigate.
Because this was a product built around real operational workflows, I worked closely with the development team throughout the project to discuss technical constraints, refine interactions and make sure the designs were practical to implement.
As the main product designer on the project, I was involved across the entire design process.
From understanding the problem and defining the experience to designing the UI and working through the final implementation.
