Project Overview
myAEON Makan was a concept for an online ordering and delivery experience for AEON, designed to bring food and other available offerings into a convenient digital platform.

The project started when AEON's Product Owner approached our team with the idea of creating the experience.

With a limited initial budget and the concept still needing management approval, we recommended starting with the product design first giving the team something tangible they could use to communicate and validate the idea internally before committing to development.

Working within a tight timeframe, we designed the experience across both mobile and desktop, covering the journey from browsing and ordering through to checkout and delivery. The project was completed as a design engagement and handed over to the client.

As the Product Owner was transitioning out of AEON around the same period, I wasn't involved in what happened to the initiative afterwards.
My Contributions
I worked on the UX/UI design of myAEON Makan, helping turn the initial product idea into a complete ordering and delivery experience within a limited budget and timeframe.

One of the main challenges was designing mobile and desktop experiences in tandem. Rather than completing one breakpoint and adapting it afterwards, I had to think about both throughout the design process, making sure the same journeys and functionality worked naturally across very different screen sizes.

The delivery experience was another key challenge. The platform needed to accommodate multiple delivery types, each with different requirements and scenarios. I worked through these flows with the stakeholders to understand how each option should behave and translated them into an experience that remained clear for users during ordering and checkout.

Because of the short timeline and budget, we weren't able to conduct dedicated research with target users. Most of our input came directly from stakeholders, so I worked within those constraints while identifying assumptions and keeping the experience grounded in familiar e-commerce and food-ordering patterns.

Despite the tight schedule, this was also a project where I had room to explore the more playful side of the experience. I incorporated AEON's mascot and experimented with animation and microinteractions to give the product more personality without getting in the way of the core ordering journey.
As Product Designer, I worked on the experience from the initial product concept through to the final mobile and desktop designs. My role covered user flows, information architecture, UX/UI design, responsive behaviour, prototyping and microinteractions.

With limited time for research, I worked closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders to understand the business requirements, particularly around the different ordering and delivery scenarios.A major part of the challenge was prioritisation.

With a tight budget and timeframe, the goal wasn't to explore every possible solution, but to create a coherent and realistic product experience that AEON could use to communicate the concept internally and potentially take forward into development.
